RPS is pleased to announce that, with effect from 18 September 2008, the laboratory business Mountainheath Services has become part of the Environmental Management arm of RPS Group plc.  Mountainheath Services will now trade as RPS Mountainheath and compliment the existing services provided by RPS Laboratories.

Both laboratories provide specialised contract analysis to a wide range of industrial and service sectors interested in establishing or monitoring levels of chemical contamination in environmental samples, such as waters, soils and air.

At RPS Mountainheath, the core expertise of the company remains the analysis of trace levels of organic contaminants in water, especially pesticides and the business has expanded into both inorganic and metals analysis.  In addition to growing the range of analysis, the laboratory has also diversified into many different market sectors which include food and drink and animal feeds.

RPS Mountainheath takes pride in its ability to be flexible and respond quickly tailoring analytical services to customer needs rather than offering only what is convenient or routine - this can include same day turnaround of results and the R&D department is regularly involved in adapting existing methods or devising new ones to cater for specific customer requirements.

Together RPS Mountainheath and RPS Laboratories offer a truly comprehensive range of analysis to customers not only in the UK, but also throughout Europe and beyond.
